iPhone 15: this could be your USB

Past year, Manzana announced its intention to incorporate the port USB-C in the iphone. Recently, leaked images of the USB-C port of the next iPhone 15 suggest the presence of light blue and green tones in the company’s non-Pro models, according to the leaker known as majin buwho disclosed these images through the specialized site AppleInsider.

Snapshots, shared on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) this morning, exhibit three discovered modules of USB-C in two color options, plus a deep black variant.

Additionally, majin bu released images of crude prototypes of the phone, including one showing an apparently displaced hole for the port USB-C.

Subsequently, majin bu clarified that the inclusion of a port USB-C green does not necessarily indicate that there will be a green iPhone at launch. It is speculated that Manzana it could launch the device in the spring, which has been its practice for a few years with lighter shades.

Apple usually reveals its new iPhone models in September, a date that is fast approaching. Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst with a long track record of tracking Apple’s supply chain, recently mentioned on Medium that the company is ready to go into mass production of the phones later this week, dispelling concerns about possible shipping delays.

On the other hand, another rumor has surfaced that Apple plans to discontinue its line of leather cases for iPhone this year. Instead, it looks like the company will introduce a new leather case alternative with a woven texture, with the intention of addressing environmental and sustainability concerns. 9to5Mac reports today that this information comes from Weibo posts by figures such as Uncle Pan and X by DuanRui.

A post on Majin Bu’s X platform backed up the rumor, featuring images that were later clarified to be unofficial genuine leather cases. These cases had been conceived under the idea that their appearance would be similar to the presumed new Apple cases.

Apple’s next iPhone models could experience substantial changes that go beyond the implementation of USB-C. Among the changes include the possible addition of a new configurable “action” button that would replace the mute switch present in previous versions of the phones.

Additionally, a Dynamic Island cutout is expected to be introduced on the iPhone 15 series, as well as slimmer bezels and a lighter titanium chassis for the professional models of the phone lineup.

Apple may be considering raising the price of its high-end Pro models. In contrast, speculation surrounding the introduction of solid-state volume buttons has recently lost steam.

As usual, it is wise to take these rumors with a grain of salt. Although Apple’s next event is just a few weeks away, it hasn’t been announced yet, the same goes for phone and case launches.
